GeologicAI Joins CDL Minerals as Its Newest Partner
We’re thrilled to share a special milestone in GeologicAI’s journey: we’ve officially joined the CDL Minerals program as its newest partner.
This announcement, made at CDL Super Session 2025, marks a powerful full-circle moment for our team. GeologicAI began its journey in the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) Rockies Energy Stream during the 2018/19 program year. Today, we return not as participants, but as partners—joining a select group of global leaders in critical minerals innovation.
“At GeologicAI we are passionate about driving a sustainable future for Critical Minerals,” said Grant Sanden, CEO of GeologicAI. “We are truly grateful to the powerful role CDL and its incredible mentors played in our trajectory. We are honored to play our small part in supporting CDL as it expands this unique value in the area we care most about.”
This new partnership aligns us with some of the most influential organizations shaping the future of mining and critical minerals—including Vale, BHP, Seequent, and Fasken—through the CDL Minerals stream. Together, we’re contributing to CDL’s mission to accelerate technologies focused on exploration, processing, and decarbonization.
A Proven Track Record of Innovation and Impact
Since our time in the CDL program, GeologicAI has rapidly scaled and expanded globally. Today, we proudly support six of the world’s top ten mining enterprises with our breakthrough solutions allowing for High Resolution Decision Engineering. Our technology enables mining leaders to:
Instantly capture and enhance critical geological core data onsite
Leverage AI models and tools tailored by deep industry expertise
Improve resource yields, reduce emissions, and reduce uncertainty in mineral exploration and investment
The results are transformative: better decisions, faster execution, and more sustainable operations at the heart of the global energy transition.
As Heather Marshall, Site Lead of CDL-Rockies, shared: “GeologicAI’s return as a partner highlights the strength of the Energy Stream’s alumni and the lasting impact of CDL mentorship. We’re excited to see their continued success translate into deeper engagement within the CDL network.”
A New Chapter in Resource Innovation
The CDL Minerals stream, launched in 2023 at CDL-Vancouver (Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia), is already proving to be a powerful force in advancing the critical minerals sector. As CDL Minerals continues to scale globally, we’re excited to support the next generation of innovators pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in resource technology.
Looking Ahead
We’re proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with other leaders in the field to help shape a smarter, more sustainable future for the critical minerals industry. To the ventures entering the next CDL Minerals cohort: we look forward to meeting you, learning from you, and helping you succeed.
Applications for the next CDL Minerals program are now open. Founders working on transformative mineral technologies are encouraged to apply at creativedestructionlab.com/apply.
